The Clay Center of New Orleans is seeking a volunteer Fundraising & Development Assistant! This is an entirely remote volunteer opportunity (although applicants are welcome to volunteer in person as well).
Responsibilities
- Researching and updating database of grants and funding opportunities
- Drafting grant applications
- Drafting fundraising appeals
Requirements
- Interest or prior experience in fundraising/development, grant/appeal writing, visual arts, ceramics, and/or arts administration is recommended but not required.

The Clay Center of New Orleans is a nonprofit organization that serves to grow, support and elevate ceramic art and artists by bringing high-quality ceramic art exhibitions, education, outreach, and professional opportunities to the city of New Orleans.
Description
The Clay Center of New Orleans was founded to increase the amount of ceramic art education, exhibition, and professional opportunities available in New Orleans, as well as to create greater access to ceramic supplies, tools, and facilities. Since opening in 2018, our Exhibitions Program has put on over 30 juried exhibitions of contemporary ceramic artwork. Our new studio/classroom is under construction and slated to open in 2022.
