The Clay Center of New Orleans is seeking a volunteer Social Media & Marketing Intern/Assistant! Academic credit available for Tulane University students.*

Responsibilities

  • Weekly gallery-sitting shift
  • Drafting/scheduling social media posts and events
  • Creating graphics and editing digital photos
  • Updating mailing lists
  • Drafting email campaigns

Requirements

  • Must have some prior experience with editing photos, creating digital graphics and using social media platforms.
  • Interest or prior experience in marketing, social media, visual arts, digital art, graphic design, ceramics, and/or arts administration is recommended but not required.

*Academic Credit for Tulane Students
This position can be used to satisfy Tulane University's second-tier service learning credit requirement (in conjunction with the Center for Public Service). Interns choosing this option must be current Tulane undergraduates and must coordinate with Tulane and CPS to register for the required corresponding internship seminar class.

Description


The Clay Center of New Orleans was founded to increase the amount of ceramic art education, exhibition, and professional opportunities available in New Orleans, as well as to create greater access to ceramic supplies, tools, and facilities. Since opening in 2018, our Exhibitions Program has put on over 30 juried exhibitions of contemporary ceramic artwork. Our new studio/classroom is under construction and slated to open in 2022.
