Beach vols

Support habitat restoration of popular day-use areas and trails by planting native species and removing non-native vegetation. Target non-native species are Himalayan blackberry (Rubus armeniacus) and Ice plant (Carpobrotus edulis). Volunteers will wear gloves and use hand tools such as hori horis, pulaskis, hand clippers, and loppers to remove encroaching vegetation around plantings. We will employ 5-gallon buckets or other water-carrying equipment to transfer water to the planting areas. Ages 8 and older are welcome (minors must be accompanied by an adult and bring a signed waiver).

VOLUNTEER WORKDAYS ARE HAPPENING EVERY 1ST SAT OF JAN, MARCH, MAY, AND JUNE. Please register on our webpage below!

Registration is required to ensure volunteers receive important details on where to meet the group and what to bring. Please sign up on our webpage https://volunteer.calparks.org/. Thank you!
