Thank you for your interest in volunteering with OSF St. Joseph Medical Center! We have a diverse, trained group who selflessly devote thousands of hours each year to support the hospital staff and our patients and families. Please consider joining us. Here is a sample of some of the opportunities that are currently available.
Adult Volunteer Opportunities- Information Desks - These volunteers are the friendly ambassadors of OSF St. Joseph Medical Center who welcome all guests, answer phones, dispatch transporters, help people find their way and do a myriad of multitasking.
- Patient Advocacy - Patient Advocates visit with patients, check on how the hospital stay is going, and help resolve any concerns.
- Transport Services - Transport services volunteers escort visitors to where they need to go and transport patients in wheelchairs throughout the medical center.

OSF St. Joseph Medical Center is fully accredited by The Joint Commission - an independent organization established to set the standards for measuring health care quality. OSF St. Joseph is designated a Magnet hospital and named a Top U.S. Hospital by The Leapfrog Group as one of only 41 hospitals across the nation, and one of only six in Illinois, to continuously earn an "A" rating for patient safety since Leapfrog began awarding letter grades in 2012.
