  • 15 people are interested

The Board of Directors provides direction, guidance, and oversight of the leadership, operations, programs, and activities of BPI. The Board supports the work of BPI and provides leadership, strategic governance, and financial support aligned with the achievement of BPI's mission. While day-to-day operations are led by BPI's Executive Director, with the support of staff, the success of BPI relies on strong partnerships between the Board and the Executive Director and staff.

BPI seeks to add to its Board of Directors with candidates who are committed to its mission of racial, economic, and social justice and are interested in investing their efforts in supporting our work.

Mission Statement

Impact for Equity's mission is to combat systemic barriers to equity and to fight for racial, economic and social justice. We do this work to realize our vision, that every person has the right and opportunity to live their fullest life in a thriving community and free of systemic barriers.

Description

An innovative public interest law and policy center, Impact for Equity utilizes a combination of legal tools, policy research, advocacy, organizing, and convening to work towards transformational change. Dedicated to advancing nuanced solutions to pressing racial, economic, and social justice issues, BPI's work is focused on housing, police accountability, criminal justice reform, and early childhood education. We lead and support efforts to dismantle systems of injustice, create structures that empower communities, and reduce harms caused by racism and oppression.
