We need Coloradans to look at and weigh in on policies which affect the lives of older Coloradans!

The Advocacy Committee (AC) of the Colorado Center for Aging (CCA) looks into varying issues facing older adults in Colorado, and existing or potential legislation which might influence them. Research is done by subgroups, each subgroup looking at a specific topic/issue/piece of legislation. The subgroups' findings inform CCA in determining CCA’s official positions for advocacy.

We need subgroup volunteers who will look deeply into any of these issues below!

There are 18 different subgroups; the topics include the following:
Adult Protection; Age Discrimination; Behavioral Health; Broadband Access; Caregiving; Congregate Care Facilities; Dialysis Transportation; Financial Security; Food-Nutrition; Geriatric Healthcare Providers; Homeowners Associations; Housing Security; Mobile Home Parks; Non-Emergency Medical Transportation; Pain Management; Substance Abuse; Property Taxation; Value of Older Adults.
(There is room for more subgroups as people have interest in different topics.)

Subgroups meet remotely (Zoom) and according to everyone's schedules (flexible).

Join in the research/advocacy fun on a spirited team, and help CCA help older Coloradans!
