Tempestry: Documenting Climate Change Stitch by Stitch - Join us for this outdoor knitting and crochet group as we stitch lines of temperature to illustrate how Manatee County has changed through the decades. This fun collaborative project is a marriage of art and data science and will result in a public exhibition in one of our nature centers. Suitable for fiber artists 16 and up. You really can make a difference! By volunteering in the preserves, you will make a positive impact on the environment. Volunteers help preserve the homes of native plants and animals, re-establishing much-needed habitat. The work completed by volunteers will also help to secure the land for the enjoyment of future generations. All individuals are welcome to apply to become a volunteer - we have lots of different jobs available!
