Join us on Saturday December 11, 2021 from 9am-12pm at Snoqualmie Community Park for a fun outdoor planting and mulching event! Volunteers are needed to help care for one of Green Snoqualmie Partnership’s oldest and largest stewardship site. Volunteers will be mulching and planting next to a valuable bog.
This is one of the best ways to give back to your local forest and your community. Help us build a healthy habitat and a healthy community!
All ages and abilities are welcome and no experience is necessary. Tools, gloves, and instruction provided.
Due to the pandemic and public safety, we have limited space and you must sign up ahead of time to join us.

Mission Statement
Forterra's mission is to act with immediacy to protect, enhance and steward our region's most precious resources--its communities and its landscapes. Since 1989, we have been working toward a future in which our children and grandchildren can experience nature in and around our urban environments.
Description
Forterra conserves land by working with individuals, companies and local governments. We strive to maximize the ecological value of land, while meeting the needs of landowners. We may accept land as a donation, purchase it, or transfer it to public ownership. We often serve as a broker to identify and negotiate the most effective ownership to protect important lands. We establish conservation easements to preserve special features. For each and every property, we explore available strategies or create new ones to provide permanent protection. Forterra has established a Conservation Agenda for our region, with specific priorities and methods for each type of landscape. Current initiatives include the protection of working forests on the foothills of the Cascades, and the creation of salmon sanctuaries along our region's highest quality rivers and streams.
