Sound Generations

Loneliness is not only mentally challenging but can be linked to poor physical health. As we head towards the chilly winter months in a pandemic, it’s vital that we extend warmth and kindness to those without an emotional support system.

At Sound Generations, we want to ensure that isolated older adults have accessible options to connect with their community members, friends, and loved ones. In the fight against loneliness, we’re proud to introduce the B.U.D.D.I.E.S. Connection - a volunteer outreach program designed to combat seasonal depression and encourage community connection with older adults.

"Building Unique Dynamic Duos, Inspiring Enhanced Social Connection".

With options of Zoom, pen pal, phone, or video call, you can connect with a partner ready to spark up engaging conversations with you. All you need to sign up is your hobbies, favorite topics, preferences, and availability! From your favorite sports team to plants & gardening, we’re looking to match up fun individuals open to speaking on a range of interests. Consider making a new friend --- sign up today!

About Sound Generations

2208 Second Avenue, Suite 100, Seattle, WA 98121, US

Mission Statement

Sound Generations, established in 1967, is Washington State's most comprehensive non-profit organization that supports people on their aging journey through community connections and accessible services. Established in 1967, we support almost 54,000 older adults, disabled persons, and those who care for them annually in King County.

Our eleven programs operating throughout numerous community and senior center sites are constantly striving to expand the provision of food security, transportation, health & wellness, and assistance services to under served and marginalized populations. We are committed to helping all people, especially those in low-income communities and communities of color, obtain the services they need while feeling included and respected in a community that affirms aging.
