Low Entropy is a registered charity that focuses on mental health, community building, and connection through authenticity. We are looking for volunteer Interviewers to join our Stories from our Community program team! This program aims to encourage others to share their stories by starting first and sharing from the community, in hopes that it will start conversations, spark connections, and bring us closer together.
Your role as an interviewer will be to create a rapport with your assigned community member and help them tell their story. You will play a crucial role in not only giving them a platform to share, but also in empowering them and helping them find their voice. The interviews will be recorded and then passed along to our Editing team, before being uploaded onto our social media channels. Your responsibilities will therefore include contacting your community member, setting up an interview, conducting the interview, and having a finished video product to give our Editing team.
Qualifications:
- Organized and motivated
- Ability to improvise
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Comfortable being on camera
- Previous journalism or interviewing experience an asset
