The Children's Museum is looking for fun-loving and dedicated people who want to share their time and talents by joining our team of amazing volunteers. Along with having fun and giving back to the community, you will be helping us maintain the health and safety of our visitors, as well as building valuable skills that will help you in college and beyond.

Volunteer Duties include:

  • Support museum staff, events, and operations
  • Help us keep our galleries clean and organized
  • Interact with guests to improve their visit
  • Lead educational activities

Description

The Children's Museum at La Habra shows how important play is to learning. Through play, children develop skills, express creativity, discover the larger world and learn to work with others. A resource in Southern California since 1977, The Children's Museum at La Habra is an award winning, non-profit public museum that provides unique, hands-on educational and cultural experience to children ages 2-10.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Background Check
  • Must be at least 14
  • Orientation or Training
  • Very flexible - two 2.5 hour shifts per month. Saturdays and Sundays with some additional shifts available during school holidays.
  • An interest in STEM and working with children ages 2-8, the ability to communicate verbally with the public and follow museum policies. Volunteers over age 18 must submit to a background check and health test (paid for by the museum).
