Mission Statement

The Oasis Project exists to close learning gaps that economically disadvantaged and/or other at-risk children experience, by utilizing volunteer licensed or previously licensed educators to provide needed tutoring and support for children in kindergarten through eighth grades. The goal is to provide early intervention in math, reading, and other subjects along with emotional and social support that will enhance each child’s long-term success in both education and life. Oasis works to lift children out of poverty through education and support while associated benefits are enjoyed by the families, schools, and our communities.

Description

The Oasis Project("Oasis") provides free professional tutoring to under-served children who are experiencing difficulties with reading, math and other subjects. Falling behind in school at an early age can significantly affect a child’s future success. Most school districts don’t have the needed financial resources to provide individual tutoring, and many parents can’t afford to hire a tutor. That is where Oasis comes in to help children find resources in the dry circumstances of their lives.
