The Trauma Intervention Program of WNC is looking for caring people who want to be part of a team of volunteers who provide emotional first aid and practical support to survivors of traumatic events. TIP Volunteers are called to emergency scenes by first responders to provide comfort to families after a sudden death, suicide, homicide, traffic accident, medical emergency, etc.

Our citizen volunteers will provide emotional first aid to survivors of tragedy in order to ease their immediate suffering and facilitate their healing and long term recovery.

Description

The Trauma Intervention Program of the Treasure Valley is seeking citizen volunteers for its crisis intervention program.

Volunteers will be trained to help fellow residents who haveexperienced a tragedy in their lives. Volunteers are called to emergency scenes by deputy sheriffs,firefighters, and paramedics to assist family members after a sudden death, disoriented older persons, and victims of other crisis situations.

  • Must be at least 16
  • Orientation or Training
