Spanish Translator

The National Alliance on Mental Illness, North Carolina (NAMI NC) is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to building better lives for all those affected by mental illness. NAMI NC is looking for a volunteer to translate some of our program materials from English to Spanish. Volunteers will gain experience working in a non-profit and be helping provide free mental health programs to the Spanish-speaking community! Volunteer work must be done remotely. Volunteers can expect 2-3 hours of work per week.

NAMI North Carolina envisions a world where all people affected by mental illness live healthy, fulfilling lives supported by a community that cares.

OUR APPROACH

Advocate at the county, state and national levels for non-discriminatory access to quality healthcare, housing, education and employment for people with mental illness. Educate the public about mental illness. Work to eliminate the stigma of mental illness. Advocate for increased funding for research into the causes and treatment of mental illness.
