Each year, the Children's Museum helps the Railroad Club put on their Festival of Trains by taking care of admissions for families and field trips. This event is staffed by train experts but we need help with check-in and orientation. That's where you come in! Volunteers do not need prior experience to sign up for this opportunity! During check in you'll be taking tickets, directing foot traffic, and selling passes. This opportunity is outlined in the Festival of Trains Job Description. Staff are there to help you out when you need it. This year the event is happening at the First Christian Church behind Best Buy.

The Great Lakes Children's Museum creates hands-on, interactive and informal educational environments for children and the adults in their lives that invite curiosity, allow exploration, and celebrate the child-like wonder in all of us.
Description
Volunteers are vital to making the Museum run smoothly. Volunteers make it possible for the Museum to offer exciting, educational, safe experiences for all our visitors. Contributing your time and skills benefits our community, while developing new skills and interests, meeting new friends, and making a difference in the life of a child. The Museum provides endless challenges for creativity, imagination, and exploration, and is currently looking for help to fulfill its mission. There is a variety of volunteer opportunities available, from one-time to short and long term.

- Must be at least 15
- Shifts are generally 3 hours or less. Volunteers can sign up for as many or as few shifts as they would like, although we suggest signing up for more than 1 shift.
