E-respite Group Co-Facilitator
Use your technical and communication skills to help people experiencing memory loss and their caregivers!
We are looking for a volunteer to help facilitate weekly E-respite sessions using Zoom. These sessions take place on Fridays from 10:45 am to 12:10 pm. Each session is an interactive, creative online experience for people experiencing memory loss and consists of brain-stimulating activities like singing, exercise, and storytelling. At the same time, the participants’ caregivers have a much-needed respite.
The Co-Facilitator will help the Respite Coordinator start and end the Zoom session, take notes and participate in activities as needed. A reliable internet connection with access to Zoom and PowerPoint are needed as well as the ability to navigate these programs. This would be a good fit for someone familiar with or interested in learning more about dementia. This position can primarily be done from the volunteer’s home.
To get started, please respond to this posting or reach out to Melanie at mjagolino@lyngblomsten.org.
