Accompany our Community Outreach Librarian and serve our community as an Outreach Tech Assistant! Volunteers will visit various senior living facilities with our Community Outreach Librarian to assist residents with their technological needs. These activities include:

  • Troubleshooting basic technological issues related to phones, pads, tablets, laptops, and email.
  • Answer library service questions as they may arise.

Volunteers should be detail-oriented, punctual, a team player, and self-motivated, among the following qualifications:

  • Patient, kind, and caring demeanor and comfortable working with seniors
  • Able to speak and hear clearly
  • Possess basic technological skills with any of the following: phones, pads, tablets, laptops, basic word processors (Word, Notepad, etc.) and email
  • Regular commitment and schedule desired
  • Previous experience working with seniors and bilingual a plus

Please note: Library policy states that all volunteers must wear a mask while volunteering.
