ORGANIZATION: Dial A Bus

Image_202310311519

Our volunteers use vehicles from our sedan and mini-van fleet to help clients attend social programs, medical appointments, adult day-care, religious services, community events, and personal service appointments. Dial-A-Bus is able to provide affordable transportation to our clients partly due to our dedicated volunteer drivers. Our volunteers find that their service to the community through Dial-A-Bus is vastly fulfilling and many stay with us for years. Volunteers build relationships with clients that use the service frequently and thereby become part of the social fabric that keeps our senior and disabled clients active and healthy. If you are interested in experiencing the sense of service, connection and fulfillment that has kept some of volunteers coming back for over 15 years, please contact us to find out how you can help.

Mission Statement

Our Mission is to provide special transportation services to seniors, disabled adults, and underserved children and families in Benton and adjoining counties.

Description

Dial-A-Bus is a nonprofit agency that responds to the transportation needs of the community in many different settings and forms. In addition to senior and disabled adults, we serve disadvantaged children and families, provide ADA service for community events, partner with other important service providers like Old Mill Center, The Boys and Girls Club, and all of the surrounding school districts that need help with displaced school children. During the pandemic, the Corvallis homeless coalition, the Benton Food Bank and the Benton County Health Department all requested and received our help, which we were happy to provide.

We will continue to be "The Agency That Says Yes" to the vulnerable and disadvantaged members of our community.
