The American Red Cross Preparedness Program is seeking an Inventory Management Volunteer Lead to support logistics, supply management and shipping activities at our Portland Office and Warehouse. This role will support the Cascades Region of the Red Cross (Oregon and SW Washington) and activities around our Disaster Preparedness programming.

Our Volunteer Lead will help ensure that supplies associated with our volunteer presentations and activities are inventoried and shipped to various office locations throughout our region. This role will work closely with our Preparedness Program Manager to ensure our volunteers are able to carry out the Red Cross activities with the resources needed to lead disaster preparedness presentations in the community and carry out our Home Fire Campaign/Sound The Alarm events, which involve free smoke alarm installations.

Help play a crucial role in overseeing the operations of Disaster Preparedness with the Red Cross, ensuring our volunteers have the necessary resources to carry out the mission of the Red Cross.

Desired Qualifications

-Experience in supply chain management, warehousing, shipping logistics
-Comfortable using computer and Microsoft Office programs, such as Sharepoint, Excel, MS Teams
-Ability to follow written directions, adhere to safety procedures, and at times work independently
-Ability to lift / carry 20 lbs. multiple times per shift.


Time Commitment
- Ability to work out of Portland Office/Warehouse (3131 N. Vancouver Ave) at least one weekday, per week. Flexible hours.
- Minimum 6 month commitment to position, ability to extend if desired
