300 Letters is focused on the mental health of the parents and children directly impacted by Incarceration.
We would love to work with individuals focused on grant research and applying to grants that align with our mission.300 Letters vetted therapist & mental health counselors who specifically work in the area of incarceration experiences, Ptsd, stress management and family. Grant writing is a very specific language and one of the biggest aspects of a non-profit to ensure we don't have to put a halt to our mission at any point. This initiative is focused on treating incarceration as a family affair and providing a healing head start alongside re-entry. Along with our "Healing Hearts Program"; 300 Letters will cover child-care costs as a financial relief to families who are job searching and readjusting to society.
For this position we need volunteers who have experience in the grant research process and writing.
Thank you so much for your interest.

Mission Statement
Our mission at 300 Letters is to bring Emotional Support, Healing, Resources, and Confidence to the families that have been divided by the Criminal Justice System. We wish to create a transparent environment where parents can rebuild connections with their children and reintegrate into society successfully. We have a belief that the strongest way to make change in the world is by starting at home, building ourselves and the people we hold dearest up internally. 300 Letters envisions a positive future for families recovering from incarceration experiences.
Description
300 Letters is more than a non-profit, it is a community and purpose driven organization developed by two people who went through similar trials as the families they wish to help. Once returned home, the couple became aware of the lack of support for their emotional transition back into society. In that moment, they decided to start 300 Letters; a program dedicated to heal and strengthen parent-child relationships upon re-entry. The "Healing Hearts Program" is to provide families with Emotionally Focused Family Therapy once a week for a duration of 3-4 months in which during that time 300 Letters will cover all child care cost to alleviate financial stress. The program will be guided by licensed professionals and families will tackle communication issues and overcome social and emotional barriers incarceration has placed on families. By reducing stigma and ensuring the societal success of families, the 300 Letters program will ultimately benefit the community as a whole.
