Capital Caring Health is seeking Prince William County volunteers to provide respite and companionship for patients and families of those in hospice care. Volunteers provide companionship, play cards, read books, prepare light meals, run errands and provide respite so the primary caregiver has an opportunity to take a breath and reenergize.

Capital Caring Health is a non-profit health care organization providing care to over 1200 patient daily in Virginia, Maryland and DC. Our patients receive specialized hospice and palliative care and range from pediatrics to geriatrics.

Capital Caring Health is seeking volunteers to visit patients in their homes or in long term care facilities throughout Prince William County. These visits provide the best service possible to our patients and their families. Hospice volunteers will be fully trained and receive the support necessary to be successful. Those who speak other languages, particularly Spanish are especially needed!

Volunteers at Capital Caring Health receive orientation, background checks, ongoing education opportunities, ID badge and the opportunity to be part of an incredible team of professionals.

Must be 18 years old and have a compassionate heart

Capital Caring Health provides hospice, palliative and advanced illness care of the highest quality to patients of all ages, regardless of their ability to pay. We serve pediatrics to geriatrics. We have two in patient centers and serve most patients in the comfort of their home. Volunteers are key to the service we provide. We train our volunteers and support them along the way. They are part of our team.
