Global Children Financial Literacy Foundation (GCFLF) is currently seeking multiple Certified Financial Educators to help facilitate our Wesley Learns Book Clubs in the Denver & Washington, DC Metro Communities for 2023! Current book clubs are held at Denver & DC Metro Boys & Girls Clubs. This is a one of a kind program that combines literacy with financial literacy and creates first time shareholders out of it's participants.

The book club takes place over a 4 week timeframe and requires it's participants to read and test on all 3 book in our children's financial literacy book series Wesley Learns which cover topics to include investing, credit & insurance. Facilitators will be responsible for facilitating sessions with participants 1 day a week for 3 weeks reading & reviewing each book with participants and also generating a report after each book club that captures data needed to evaluate book club success. Additionally, facilitator will coordinate with the Boys & Girls Club Director to identify a date for the end of program celebration where participants will be rewarded with becoming first time shareholders.

Age of participants is 8 - 12 years old. This is an amazing opportunity to help shape the minds of our next generation to have a successful financial future!

Mission Statement

Global Children Financial Literacy Foundation (GCFLF) is a nonprofit organization based in Georgia that leverages the power of financial education to help future generations build a solid foundation of financial literacy. We target young people living in underserved and military communities in U.S. cities, imbuing them with the financial savvy necessary to live financially secure lives. GCFLF offers a range of engaging programs and activities for children and young adults in collaboration with parents, schools, youth organizations, local businesses, and other community stakeholders. This includes hosting financial literacy workshops, conferences, and seminars designed to teach children of all ages the importance of budgeting, saving, investing, and credit. Our ultimate goal is to prepare America’s future leaders for lives of financial integrity, stability, and success as they strive to make their unique impact, achieve excellence, and build generational wealth.

Description

At GCFLF, we work collaboratively by partnering with parents, schools, youth organizations, local businesses, and other community stakeholders to host financial literacy workshops, conferences, and seminars designed to teach children of all ages the importance of budgeting, saving, investing, and credit. Our current offering of evidence-based programs includes the "Wesley Learns Book Club" for children ages 8 to 12, which combines literacy with financial literacy while making first-time shareholders out of the participants. We also offer the "High School Transition Program" (HSTP), modeled after the U.S. military’s transition assistance program, to ensure high school students have the basic financial knowledge to begin their lives as adults.
