Description

Community Volunteer Transportation Company (CVTC) addresses the unmet transportation and health access needs in the rural Monadnock Region of southwestern New Hampshire. CVTC's Volunteer Driver Program coordinates "no-fee" transportation to provide access to essential health and human services to enhance a rider’s ability to obtain, or maintain health, well-ness, and independence. CVTC’s Volunteer Drivers operate in all of Cheshire County and 11 towns in western Hillsborough County. Individuals qualify for rides if they do not have access to transportation due to age, ability, economic situation or other limiting circumstances. Eligible trips include health access: non-emergency medical and social service appointments; food access: grocery store, farmers’ market, and food bank; and personal needs: pharmacy, bank and post office.
