This position is for a greeter at the front desk in the Ferguson Allied Health and Workforce Development (AHWD) center. This person will support the Allied Health and Workforce Development departments. The main role would be providing information relating to class locations, where to register, phone numbers and contacts found in the building.

Volunteer Responsibilities:

• Staff the front desk at the Ferguson Allied Health and Workforce Development (AHWD) center.
• Provide information to visitors including (Ferguson Bldg. vs Ferguson AHWD class locations), phone numbers, contact location, class locations etc.
• Assist with Registration location

Requirements:

• An application, background check and orientation/ brief training are required before starting this position.
• Must be able to commute to A-B Tech in Asheville NC. This position is in-person.
• Volunteers are needed to commit to a couple of hours a month to support staff.
• Shift schedules are based on volunteer availability and commitments.
• Times may vary in the Summer and the college is closed for school holidays, breaks and between semesters.
• Must have a social security number, be over the age of 18 and this position is not eligible for community service.

Attire:

• Comfortable and appropriate attire is required.
• Room temperatures are variable - please dress accordingly.
