Do you have a passion for older adult and caregiver services? Join JABA's Advisory Council to share your passion and move us forward as a community.

Council Members provide insight on JABA's planning documents and budget, while sharing about aging and caregivers services within their community.

Advisory Council Particulars:

  • Meetings are held once a month 12pm-2pm, generally on Thursdays.
  • Members commit to a minimum requirement of 2 hours every other month.
  • Virtual meetings are conducted over Zoom until further notice.
  • Must be a Louisa County resident and 18 years or older.
  • Applications from seniors or caregivers encouraged!

Description

For almost 50 years, JABA has provided a variety of services to help seniors remain as healthy, active, and independent as possible. Programs include information and referral, education and advocacy, and direct services such as adult care centers, community centers, senior meal programs, care coordinators, health care and health promotion programs, health insurance counseling, volunteer and employment opportunities, and conflict resolution for people in nursing homes and other long-term health care settings. Jaba believes that aging is a lifelong process, which is most successfully done in intergenerational communities.
