Soldiers' Angels is a national nonprofit organization, headquartered in San Antonio, providing support to our service members, wounded heroes and veterans of all generations. Through the generosity of a grant funder, we are able to offer internships for veterans to assist in their transition process. If you are a veteran and need some guidance and support with finding your passion or finding meaningful employment this might be a great fit for you! 85% of interns who participate in this program will achieve their established goals!

The Veteran Intern is responsible for assisting the Soldiers’ Angels team in a variety of different functions, based on the skills, experiences, and goals of the applicant. This includes, but is not limited to, programming, administration, development, and volunteer services to support Soldiers’ Angels military support programs around the country. The goal of this position is to grow the Veteran’s experiences to ensure that they achieve a goal that is set out by them.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Will tailor depending on department):

· Learn and Demonstrate Best Practices.

· Work with staff to develop tailored skills programming.

· Complete department training.

· Execute metrics.

· Maintain and leverage appropriate technology tools to manage team functions.

REQUIRED MINIMUM SPECIFICATIONS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications for this position include:

· Organized and detailed oriented.

· Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Office Suite computer skills.

· Must work well independently and be self-motivated and proactive.

· Ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds and experiences.

· Ability to work effectively with Soldiers’ Angels’ volunteers and representatives from other organizations.

· A genuine desire, passion ability and comfort to work with and service veterans.

Job Types: Full-time, Internship

Pay: $1,500.00 per month
