RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT PORTFOLIO

The research and development team is a crucial part of the Youthplomacy team as a whole, headed by the Director of Research and Development; the team is expected to provide extensive research on broad-ranging global issues in the area of diplomacy, foreign affairs, maritime affairs, gastronomy, environment and sustainability, as well as Socio-cultural related issues, the team are also expected to give guidance and advice on events.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

As a research and development associate in Global Affairs - Environment, your assignments will include (but are not limited to) :

  • Conducting extensive, accountable and non-bias research on Environment and Climate Change
  • Producing articles and or academic journals related to Environment and Climate change Collaborating with the content writing department in producing articles and content related
  • to environment, climate change and sustainable development
    Monitoring significant events in international politics in the scope of (but not limited to)
  • environment, climate change, sustainable development or as directed by the director of Research & Development

DESIRED SKILLS

  • Strong understanding of and interest in Environment and Climate Change

  • Demonstrated ability to research, analyse, collate and present information in a timely and accurate manner.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective working relationships with colleagues and other stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated ability to achieve results, work as a team, take the initiative and work independently

  • Working and communicating in English is preferred; the ability to work and communicate in Bahasa Indonesia is a plus but not mandatory.

  • Ability to operationalize data processing applications and/or data visualization is a plus but not mandatory.
