STRATEGIC COMMUNICATION PORTFOLIO
We are looking for social media and web-savvy volunteers to join our Strategic Communication Team. The strategic communication team is crucial for Youthplomacy to reach and develop social media to gain wider audiences. Headed by the Director of Strategic Communication, the team is expected to manage communications, public interests, and the idea of the contents.

The Strategic Communication team will also manage communications, social, digital media, partnerships, outreach strategies, and innovative approaches to reach key audiences. This position will help to gain hands-on experience and training in many aspects of digital communications while also understanding a small nonprofit organization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Strategic Communication associate is responsible for developing and implementing a strategic communication plan on social media by:

  • Working alongside visual designers, researcher, and external agencies to deliver a media engagement with the audience
  • Translating writing/articles to English or Bahasa Indonesia
  • Proofreading articles/writing before publication
  • Develop communication strategies and campaigns
  • Attend bi-weekly team meetings as well as department meetings to report and provide input
  • Making recommendations for improvement where feasible and appropriate.

DESIRED SKILLS

  • Create captions for Youthplomacy's social media platforms
  • Producing articles based on research produce by the Research & development department in the scope of our focus area.
  • You are energetic, innovative and hardworking with ideas about creative ways to engage audiences in achieving the organization's mission.
  • Demonstrate the ability to build impressive content ideas, and manage communication with audiences.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective working relationships with colleagues and other stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve results, work as a team, take the initiative and work independently
  • Background in communication is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Full command of English, ability to work and communicate in Bahasa Indonesia is a plus but not mandatory.
