Are you interested in helping our interns gain essential work experience? Would you like to be part of an organization that makes a difference in the lives of our community? Join us in helping support our interns as part of "Handshake"!

Essential Job Functions:

1. Recruit interns on social media platforms, using marketing campaigns.

2. Track and report all Handshake activity to Executive Director

3. Coordinate Handshake, Microsoft Volunteers, Intern Match, and all Financial Institution Volunteer Portals.

4. Assign tasks to Interns through the Workplace by the Facebook portal.

5. Conduct training for Interns through webinars, and other media sponsored by 501 Commons, E Enterprises INTL, and Washington Nonprofits.

6. Adhere to the FSC-PS employee handbook.

7. Identify Intern skills, knowledge, talents, and expertise, ensuring appropriate matching of Internship position.

8. Acknowledge and recognize exceptional performance by interns, improving intern performance and continued support.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of company’s policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of social media platforms, Google Suite, and Microsoft Office.
  • Skill in coaching and training preferred.
  • Skill in oral and written communication.
  • Skill in completing multiple tasks at once.
  • Ability to work independently and meet managerial goals.
  • Ability to organize daily activities of self and others and to work as a team player.
  • Ability to communicate professionally with co-workers, volunteers, and Interns.
  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
  • Ability to learn new computer applications.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, marketing, or a related field and experience in computer applications, Google Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, spreadsheets, data entry, training, coaching, and recruiting preferred.

Description

The objectives of this Corporation shall be, to engage in any lawful act or activity such as any corporation organized under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Specifically, the objectives of this Corporation shall be:

  • To promote economic development and provide technical, educational, and advisory assistance to economically disadvantaged communities.
  • To provide scholarships to college-bound students from economically disadvantaged communities who have expressed an interest in the financial services industry.
  • To help educate and inform youth about the employment opportunities available in the financial services industry.
