ORGANIZATION: National MS Society- Idaho-Nevada-Utah

National MS Society, Utah-Southern Idaho Chapter

The National Multiple Sclerosis Society is a national non-profit that exists because there are people with MS. Our vision is a world free of MS. Everything we do is focused so that people affected by MS can live their best lives as we stop MS in its tracks, restore what has been lost and end MS forever.

We are more than an organization. We are a movement. United in our collective power to do something about MS now and end this disease forever. At the National MS Society you have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of those living with MS and their families.

As a member of the Society team, you'll work in an environment that values collaboration, innovation, diverse perspectives, and most of all a relentless resolve so people with MS can live their best lives.

The National MS Society, Idaho-Nevada-Utah Chapter is offering an internship opportunity within our Development and Volunteer Engagement departments. This unpaid and remote internship (must reside in Idaho, Nevada or Utah) will provide school credit and offers an invaluable experience within a non-profit organization; the National MS Society is one of five nonprofits to receive one of Fast Company’s Best Workplaces for Innovators Award.

This support role will assist with the execution of Walk MS events and the Market’s Bike MS event in the Idaho-Nevada-Utah Chapter. The intern will help our team to achieve revenue, participant, and team goals. The intern will play a vital role in helping drive our various fundraising efforts and providing ongoing support to participants, volunteers, sponsors, and vendors. Candidates must be comfortable with providing excellent customer service, be self-motivated, a team player, results-oriented and dedicated to the MS Society’s mission to ending MS. It is also a plus if the candidate is proficient in Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Office Suite.

Within this role, the intern will work closely with the Bike MS Development Manager and have frequent check-ins to balance workflow. The intern will gain project management experience, mentoring, and insight into non-profit administration. Interns will receive training from staff.
