Swimming with Athletes who are Blind and Visually Impaired
Northwest Association for Blind Athletes (NWABA) will be holding a swim clinic for individuals who are blind and visually impaired at Madison Pool. We are looking for volunteers with a background in either lifeguarding, teaching swimming, or both! This clinic is specifically for adults. We are hoping to have a few extra hands to teach some basic skills to the athletes. Please visit the following website to sign up for this event: https://app.etapestry.com/onlineforms/NorthwestAssociationforBlin/Volunteer.html
About Northwest Association for Blind Athletes
P.O. Box 65265, Vancouver, WA 98665, US
To provide life-changing opportunities through sports and physical activity to individuals who are blind and visually impaired.
The Northwest Association for Blind Athletes [NWABA] enriches lives and provides opportunities for children, youth, adults and veterans who are visually impaired. When individuals with visual impairments experience sports and recreation they have more self-confidence and open up to the possibility that they really can pursue their dreams in both sports and life. Our athletes leave behind sedentary isolated lives and they gain skills, confidence and joy.
