StoneLion Puppet Theatre is celebrating thirty years in 2022. Our non-profit focuses on creating high quality FREE art opportunities and events for our community. Much of our work is environmental education based to engage and teach how to actively participate to make our world a more sustainable and better place.
We are seeking like minded individuals to grow our Board of Directors. Our Board serves as a sounding board and advice maker for our founding Artistic Director, Heather Loewenstein.
More information can be found at www.stonelionpuppets.org and Guidestar.
Our Board meets on the third Wednesday of every other month.
If you are interested, allow us to take you out for coffee or lunch.

Mission Statement
StoneLion Puppet Theatre is a professional not-for-profit theater company dedicated to expanding the horizons of the young and young-at-heart through the art of puppetry in an interdisciplinary community of ethnic and cultural diversity.
Description
StoneLion Puppet Theatre is perhaps best known for Illuminated Waters, the areas largest free community art festival where the community actually helps build the giant puppets at our studios and puts the event on. Illuminated Waters 2019 reached over 7000 people.
StoneLion does not have a regular theater season nor does StoneLion sell tickets. We take the art to the audience whether it is one of the 263 performances and workshops given in 2019 locally into schools and libraries or part of our international outreach sponsored by the US State Department. Our latest project sponsored by National Geographic will start this summer in Eilat Israel where were filming puppets underwater in the Red Sea in partnership with For the Seas Productions. This project will create films, PSA's and live events promoting banning single use plastic on the beaches of Eilat and elsewhere.
With Covid-19 we lost 98% of our business but did not stop us from reaching our community, Puppets a Glow Go the city's first drive through art event in September of 2020 drew over 10,000 to the National World War One Museum and Memorial for a reverse parade of giant glowing puppets and aerialists.
StoneLion has twenty-three different productions on our touring roster currently and produces three large scale "giant puppet events" annually.
