East Midvale’s family learning center has English classes Mon-Thurs from 10 am to noon.

Many of our immigrant and refugee families attend. Many of the moms need to bring their young children - the non school age children to class.

We are looking for help to keep these young ones occupied and cared for so the parents can concentrate and learn. There is a small corner in our Family Learning Center which has toys for the young ones so the volunteers are in the room with the classes and parents.

If you love working with little ones and have one day a week you would be willing to offer - from 10 am to Noon - all the parents in the class would be so grateful. These families are working hard to learn a new language to better participate in our community. We would like to offer them the support they need.
