The Salvation Army bell ringing season is around the corner! Shifts start November 26th, the day after Thanksgiving until December 24th, Christmas Eve. With over 50 locations, shifts Monday-Saturday, and locations throughout Miami Dade County, bell ringing is the perfect way to get involved this holiday season.
Did you know that spending 60 minutes bell ringing can feed 13 people?
Signing up to be a bell ringer is a rewarding way to give back and raise money. The funds you raise as a Salvation Army bell ringer will make a year-round impact in our community through social services assistance, homeless shelter, disaster relief, children’s programs, and more.

Description
The Salvation Army Miami Area Command is home to The Red Shield Lodge homeless shelter. The shelter has around 260 beds, laundry, common areas for residents, a computer room, a Health Resource Center and a newly renovated dining room where breakfast, lunch and dinner are served daily. Each year The Salvation Army Miami Area Command serves over 4,800 hot meals. Residents do not pay for anything when they are here. Each resident has a case manager who helps them reach their goals in order to achieve independence. The shelter houses a food pantry that is open to anyone in the community and serves over 200 families per week. In addition, there are Corps in various areas of Miami that act as Community Centers and Churches for their respective areas. Each Corps has Youth Programs, food pantries and spiritual services.
