Code Nation is a nonprofit organization that engages professional developers on a volunteer basis to teach web development to students who attend under-resourced high schools in NYC, the Bay Area, and Chicago!

In the 2022-2023 school year, we will reach over 1300 students in NYC, the Bay Area, and Chicago. With a community of over 300 volunteers, Code Nation is a great way to meet like-minded people, help youth access careers in tech, and make a big impact in your community with your skills and free time. We have launched partnerships with schools in San Jose and are looking for volunteers to support our in-person programming this August. Apply now to hear about available sites!

Interested volunteers please apply at www.codenation.org/volunteers to get connected to a Code Nation staff member, and hear about the different volunteer opportunities we have available!

Description

Founded in 2012 as ScriptEd, Code Nation is a non-profit organization that equips students in under-resourced schools with the fundamental coding skills and professional experiences that together create access to careers in technology.

Code Nation brings its tuition-free program directly to schools, where classes are taught by software developers on a volunteer basis.
