Fun painting!

"We are looking for volunteers who are passionate about helping children in need, and who believe in the healing powers of art.

We have a carefully curated curriculum of art projects that are art therapy-based. The projects are fun, easy, focused on healing, and easily executed with language barriers. You need not be an artist to do this-just a knowledge of sharing love and patience with children!

Our curriculum, art supplies, and children are all present at two locations near downtown Tucson. We’d love and appreciate your help in ensuring that children who enter the Welcome Center are greeted with a warm smile and a place to create for an hour!

You can commit to once a week or once a month after a two day trial period!

About drawchange

Location:

PO Box 55627, Atlanta, GA 30306, US

Mission Statement

Drawchange is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to empowering children from lower socioeconomic situations through the use of art therapy-based programming. Our programs teach coping skills that foster Collaboration, Creation, Dream-building, Empowerment, Imagination, Self-Esteem, and Stress-Relief.

Description

Our vision is to provide the tools neccesary so each child has the ability to fully express themselves.

Art is a vehicle to reach out to students. Engaging them with art enriches their study with all other curriculum subjects. Our strategy is aimed to spark the energy of world peace by igniting the passion of learning in the world’s children.

In using the research based principles of integrating the arts in the general curriculum, we hope to increase self-esteem and thinking skills in children to help them become better world citizens. Wherever there is a need, drawchange wants to be there providing art supplies.
