The Cypress Chamber Orchestra is a new orchestra in Cypress, Texas in the greater Houston area. Our professional orchestra will perform in the Cypress area as well as address the music, culture and demographics of its' communities.
We are seeking individuals to join our board of directors and assist in governance, fundraising and community outreach.

With the use of innovative programming and our collaboration with local non-classical musicians, the Cypress Chamber Orchestra will pave the way towards a new, innovative, and more community-focused classical music world.
The Cypress Chamber Orchestra was founded by Kirk Wilke, a celebrated conductor, and Michael Drapkin, a prominent clarinetist, entrepreneur, and prolific composer and arranger. Wilke and Drapkin, who were classmates at the prestigious Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York, have put their minds together to create something new. Their goal: shake up the classical music industry with a chamber orchestra that caters to audiences today. The Cypress Chamber Orchestra is a 501(c)(3) not-for profit corporation.
