Do you love working with children aged 5-14? Do you enjoy hands-on activities? Do you love watching children collaborate, grow, and have fun? This is the opportunity for you! Challenge Island, a local STEAM (STEM+Art) educational enrichment non-profit organization, is looking for volunteer teachers to teach 1-2 classes per week. These classes are highly interactive and require you to be on your feet for approximately 2 hours at a time.
Volunteers will receive a full training and all lesson plans as well as class materials. Volunteers must pass a background check and sign a non-disclosure agreement due to proprietary materials being used. For more information on Challenge Island, please go to https://youtu.be/uB6bcyWpSEE.
*Please note*: you must live in the Albuquerque metro or surrounding areas in order to fill this position.

Challenge Island is a one of a kind educational enrichment program on the cutting edge of educational thought and at the forefront of S.T.E.A.M. education. Children learn teamwork, critical thinking, communication, and problem-solving skills to solve challenges using low tech supplies. As a nonprofit, Challenge Island seeks to serve the neediest populations in order to bring a love of science, technology, engineering, art, and math to more of New Mexico’s children.
