Minneapolis VA Health Care System

The Minneapolis VA facility telehealth team is looking for Volunteers to assist with their VA Video Connect (VVC) project.

Volunteers in this role would do outreach phone calls to Veterans with upcoming scheduled phone appointments to see if they would like to switch to a virtual, or telehealth, appointment. Ideal Volunteers will have excellent phone and communication skills, know how to navigate Excel spreadsheets, attention to detail in documentation and willing to learn more about the VA Video Connect project in order to successfully answer Veteran's questions. Volunteers will have access to certain Veteran data and will need to maintain privacy and confidentiality as mandated by HIPAA at all times. A script will be provided for Volunteers to use while on the phone.

With current OSHA and VA safety policies and procedures during the COVID pandemic, all Volunteers are required to wear a medical face mask. VHA Directive 1193 and VA Handbook 5019 requires that Volunteers in this role have a documented COVID-19 vaccine and Flu vaccine.
