Do you have a passion for reading and helping others?
- Tutors work one-on-one with adult learners ages 18 and above
- Sessions are 1 - 2 hours weekly
- Tutor training and ongoing support is provided, no teaching experience necessary!
Learn more about tutoring an adult learner and transforming an adult’s life through literary skills. READ Ottawa uses the research-based ProLiteracy curriculum. Attending a one time 6-hour training session is required. READ Ottawa holds two to four training sessions each year to give multiple opportunities for volunteers to receive training.
