Respite care provides short-term relief for caregivers. It allows the caregiver to get out to tend to their own needs and get supplies. A much-needed break! Caregiving is exhausting and is a 24-hour job. Care is provided at home by a Faith in Action volunteer. They provide non-contact respite. They can cue seniors on what to do but are hands off. They are there to keep senior's safe and engaged while the caregiver is out running errands for a few hours. We have several people looking for respite and we are short on respite caregivers. Can you spare a few hours a month to hep us?
