Restore Hope Liberia's YouTube page needs a fresh look, more videos uploaded (we have them, but we need help cataloging them), some light informal training on YouTube. Finally, we need some marketing help, too -- more subscribers!

If you know YouTube, we need you!

Check out our current page: Restore Hope: Liberia - YouTube

Some background, and what's needed:

The YouTube Channel for Restore Hope: Liberia
includes twelve videos with posting dates as long as
four years ago, and most recently as two years ago.
There are only 13 subscribers to the channel and it
appears to be primarily a location to house videos to
link to rather than a destination platform for Followers.
However, as the second-largest search engine in the
world, there is an opportunity to utilize it to increase
outreach and donations.

Changes needed:

  • Include a channel trailer that will be displayed at the top of the channel page and will play automatically for non-subscribed visitors.
  • Submit an impactful, high-quality video to YouTube's Social Impact Channel with the goal of being featured (https://www.youtube.com/user/nonprofits).
  • Add a link card to the end of the videos that will take viewers to specific URLs. Choose landing pages on our website that relate to the content shared or link to the donation page. Some videos currently include this and others do not.
  • Include a banner image on the page to reflect our mission.

Additional hopes/expectations:

  • Uphold the highest standards for the visual tone of our storytelling
  • Provide analysis of trends that will inform our content and engagement strategies
  • Draft and present draft proposals of future content
  • Upload video onto platform
  • Survey and report on engagement

Mission Statement

We provide essential support to vulnerable children -- and their caregivers -- in the developing world, with timely and sustainable resources and activities that will protect their health and wellbeing, ensure access to education and provide economic opportunities beyond school, thus providing a way out of extreme and enduring poverty.

Description

In 2015, in the wake of the worst Ebola outbreak in history, a small group of professional global health colleagues who had worked together at various times across Africa sought to develop a new model of post-emergency humanitarian aid that would address the shortcomings of the standard humanitarian response.

Restore Hope: Liberia has, duly accredited by the Government of Liberia’s Dept. of Commerce as a not-for-profit, tax-exempt corporation, now provides support to 600+ disadvantaged/vulnerable women and children in Kolahun (population of approximately 75,000) by supporting schools throughout the District and Kolahun Hospital.

In the last two years, RHL evolved from an exclusive focus on a small group of vulnerable children and women to include a larger portion of community members and households. An additional program component is being added that will improve access to mental health support services for vulnerable women. The organization has grown and will soon finalize its 501(c)(3) status in the U.S. and is an officially registered Liberian NGO.
