Need Blood Donor Ambassadors in Blacksburg VA to help provide excellent and professional customer service in a medical setting and enhance the donor experience. According to the appointment priority system, these volunteers manage the reception process by ensuring each donor is greeted and assisted with initial donor intake.
Location: American Red Cross Donation Center, Kent Square - 250 Main St. Ste 200.
Free garage parking for volunteers.
Volunteer shifts are 7:45 am to 11:45 am, and 11:45 am to 3:45 pm.- Volunteers are needed every day of the week, except Thursday, weekends included.
Minimum requirements:
- One 4-6-hour shift per month (minimum)
- Professional, clear, and diplomatic communication skills
- Comfortable approaching and greeting people.

Completing the Volunteer Application form:
The application form is thorough, and we ask you to upload a copy of your driver’s license and enter your SS# for a background check.
STEP 2: Meet your team - volunteer manager and fellow volunteers.
STEP 3: Training and Scheduling: online and onsite - engagement
STEP 4: Stay involved and recognition.
