Angel Tree is our Christmas assistance program where we will be making sure that over 6,000 Indiana children have presents under the tree for Christmas this year. Each of our "angels" represents a real child with real needs and wants for the holiday season.
Throughout the month of November, we will have groups at our Eagle Creek Corps helping us to sort gifts and prepare them for distribution. This is a great opportunity for small groups to make a huge impact, so gather your church group, book club, or work team and help us get gifts into the hands of children across Indianapolis!
All volunteers under the age of 18 MUST be accompanied by an adult at all times during their volunteer service.
Sorting and processing shifts will take place Monday-Saturday beginning the week of Thanksgiving (Thanksgiving day excluded).
PLEASE NOTE: Volunteer shift times vary throughout the sorting and processing time frame. If you are interested in serving with this part of the Angel Tree program, please reach out to the volunteer coordinator at Stevi.Cochrane@usc.salvationarmy.org to schedule your shift time.

Mission Statement
The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian church. Its message is based on the Bible. Its ministry is motivated by the love of God. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination.
Description
Using both paid staff and volunteers, we repond to disasters locally, nationally and internationally. Moreover, we repond to individual plights within Indiana whether the circumstances involve domestic violence, substance abuse, at risk children, homelessness, joblessness and other situations where people need help and training. We have multiple programs and service-specific centers in and around Indiana. We have special events as fundraisers, donation collections and to increase awareness. "Need knows no season" so we are in constant pursuit of finding ways to make a difference and offer the gift of God's love.
