Our organization, Cheshire Village at Home, helps older adults live independently and age in place by providing volunteer-led transportation and other support services.
Volunteers choose the type of services they wish to perform and the times they are available. CV@H coordinates service requests with matching volunteers. No physical or medical care is performed. The majority of requests are for transportation to and from appointments and grocery shopping, and small household tasks like hanging pictures, flipping a mattress, or replacing batteries in smoke detectors.
Covid protocols are followed to keep both members and volunteers safe.
Our volunteers report a feeling of satisfaction when they are able to lend a hand to an older adult.

Mission Statement
CVAH helps seniors to remain independent in their homes with a little help. Volunteers provide transportation and help with other chores that seniors can no longer do, or help with computers or cellphones.
Description
CVAH began operation in June of 2017. We currently have about 40 members. In addition to services we reduce social isolation with Social programs monthly and with social phone calls daily if members desire them.

- Volunteers use their own car for transporting but can receive mileage reimbursement. Drivers should have their own liability insurance and are also covered by the Keene Senior Center liability insurance. Background check required.
