Provide support to blood collection operation by performing regulated medical screening of potential blood donors.

• Collect and confirm donor demographics
• Determine procedure eligibility
• Conduct physical exam, to include oral temperature, pulse, BP and hematocrit by accepted process
• Facilitate and evaluate health history (typically self-administered by donor)
• Comply with applicable Federal, State and local regulations as well as all American Red Cross policies, procedures and guidelines
• Attend relevant meetings, skill competency assessments, and updates
• Being punctual and dependable for all assignments

Safety First! Our need for volunteers is constant and our guidelines reflect the latest CDC safety recommendations and follow the national and local government laws. COVID-19 vaccination will be required for in-person volunteer roles beginning January 3, 2022.

Volunteers applying for in-person position assignments require vaccination verification. Instructions to provide information and supporting documentation of vaccination will be provided once you submit your application.
