ORGANIZATION: NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF ASIAN AMERICAN PROFESSIONALS WASHINGTON

This person will hold events and discussion based on Diversity, Equity & Inclusion and hold the title of DEI and Community Outreach DIRECTOR

  • Reports to and supports the VP of External Affairs in day-to-day operations
  • Ensure DEI aspects intersect in all programming of NAAAP DC
  • Plan and execute DEI programming
  • Develop and manage a collegiate outreach strategy
  • Identify potential partners to create a scholarship fund
  • Work with sponsors and community partners to plan and execute community engagement events
  • Attend all External Affairs and Executive Team meetings
  • Open to all backgrounds and ethnicities
  • Must be near or local to the neighborhoods of Washington DC, Virginia, or Maryland.

Term:

  • One-year, re-electable with no limit

Requirements: An executive presence and desire and ability to coach team members. Prior leadership experience preferred.

Succession Planning Requirement: The DEI & Community Outreach Director must identify a suitable potential successor to their role by the middle of their term, to be formally vetted by the President
