DEI and Community Events Coordinator in DC area for Asian Americans

This person will hold events and discussion based on Diversity, Equity & Inclusion and hold the title of DEI and Community Outreach DIRECTOR
- Reports to and supports the VP of External Affairs in day-to-day operations
- Ensure DEI aspects intersect in all programming of NAAAP DC
- Plan and execute DEI programming
- Develop and manage a collegiate outreach strategy
- Identify potential partners to create a scholarship fund
- Work with sponsors and community partners to plan and execute community engagement events
- Attend all External Affairs and Executive Team meetings
- Open to all backgrounds and ethnicities
- Must be near or local to the neighborhoods of Washington DC, Virginia, or Maryland.
Term:
- One-year, re-electable with no limit
Requirements: An executive presence and desire and ability to coach team members. Prior leadership experience preferred.
Succession Planning Requirement: The DEI & Community Outreach Director must identify a suitable potential successor to their role by the middle of their term, to be formally vetted by the President
