Volunteers play a crucial role in helping Re-Source York to be environmentally and socially responsible. Volunteer roles include processing donations, customer service, helping customers load & unload their items, and so much more. Our home improvement location is a revolving door of donations from tubs to front doors and we need your help. Opportunities at this location include:

Receiving and Transporting Donations

We process a lot of donations! When customers arrive you’ll help them unload the items that they are donating, or help transport the items they’ve already purchased.

Organizing and Displaying Inventory

All of our donations need to be organized and cleaned before they can be offered to our customers. You’ll help us organize bulk items and create eye-catching displays to make our stores easy to navigate!

Measuring and Labeling Merchandise

Many of the home improvement goods we receive include doors, windows, and more, all of which need to be measured. You’ll help us measure and label each item so customers know what size the item is that they are purchasing.

Cleaning and Sanitizing Products

Sofas and upholstered furniture are staples of Re-Source York’s inventory and each piece we receive must be cleaned and sanitized before it can be sold. You’ll help us prep pieces before they hit the display floor.

General Cleaning and Customer Service Assistance

Like any busy organization our place can get messy! You’ll help us keep things in shape by organizing paint cans, straightening out shelves, and chasing down the occasional dust bunny.
