Do you love history and meeting new people? We do too! At Lincoln Boyhood National Memorial, we welcome people from all over the world who want to learn more about Abraham Lincoln and the formative years he spent in Southern Indiana. We are looking for volunteers to welcome and assist visitors at the Visitor Center. Shifts are available every day of the week throughout the year.

The primary role of this position is to ensure a positive and meaningful experience for our visitors. Tasks include greeting visitors and working alongside National Park Service staff to interpret the natural and cultural history of the site. Based on a volunteer’s individual interests, there are additional opportunities for volunteers to assist with educational programming and tours of the park.

Under the Federal Mask Mandate, face coverings are required inside all federal buildings.

Volunteers at the Lincoln Boyhood National Memorial Visitor Center will support the National Park Service mission of preserving unimpaired the natural and cultural resources and values of the National Park System for the enjoyment, education, and inspiration of this and future generations.
