Cat and Kitten Fosters Needed!
ORGANIZATION: PURR-PHILADELPHIA URGENT RESCUE AND RELIEF
Please visit the new page to apply.
PURR is seeking new foster parents for our friendly cats and kittens!! Being a foster parent is a rewarding experience, enabling you to help our most helpless animals get a second chance as they regain health, learn to trust in humans, and acquire social development in preparation for permanent adoption.
PURR focuses on cats with medical issues, and cats who need to build trust in humans, so we are seeking foster homes with people comfortable with providing extra care and understanding.
PURR will match you up with the right cat or kitten(s) to foster and ensure that you have all of the supplies you will need. We will do regular check-ins with you and for foster animals and be on-call 24/7 if you have any questions or concerns.
If you are interested in giving a kitty a comfortable place to wait until they are adopted, please follow this link and fill out the application!

Mission Statement
PURR is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization dedicated to helping homeless, neglected, and abused cats and kittens in the Philadelphia area. PURR is 100% volunteer-operated and funded by donations from the community.
Description
PURR was born out of a desire to handle Philadelphia’s cat problem in a more effective and humane manner. Recognizing Philadelphia’s unique landscape, our multifaceted approach considers the role that feral, friendly strays and pets from low-income homes contribute to cat overpopulation.
Our initiative is to facilitate increased TNR, provide sterilization surgery for pets and provide friendly strays with behavioral assessments and rescue placement.
We believe every cat who wants a home deserves a home. PURR serves to create best-practice initiatives, support and amplify the work of partner rescues and shelters, coordinate and enhance neighborhood relationships and build an effective volunteer network to strategically serve cats and those who love them.
